Prevention & Wellness

Wellness involves a set of life skills that promote wellbeing and help to prevent the onset of illness. The Counseling & Testing Center (CTC) promotes wellness and the prevention of illness through outreach activities all over campus. These activities include presentations, workshops, screenings, awareness-raising events, and the Health & Fitness Expo, among others. These events address relevant student concerns in intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, physical, financial, and occupational areas of life. This reflects the CTC’s holistic approach to health.

Resources for Wellness and Mental Health

We want you to learn about wellness. Know that it is OK to seek help and that there are many resources available for you. We have collected links to self-help materials that can assist you in understanding life challenges and what you can do to improve your sense of wellbeing. In addition, you'll find resources for faculty & staff and parents of college students and a list of self-help books that cover topics related to wellness, mental health, relationships, and human development.
